Gustav Klimt (1862 – 1912) was an Austrian artist and one of the most prominent representatives of the modernism movement in Europe in the 20th century. His painting "Friso Stoclet", made in between 1905 and 1911 for the Stoclet Palace in Brussels, is the perfect example of his style inspired from the Byzantine mosaics and the metallic colours that highlight even more the core of each painting and help him create an enigmatic atmosphere fundamentally elegant. |
